Education is a right that every child has; unfortunately, not every child gets to experience the best school or even attend school at all. That has bothered me for a very long time, even before I became a teacher myself. I believe that educators can work together to take one step at a time to create a world where children are able to receive high-level education in calm, happy classroom environments.
In terms of experience, I’m embarking on my ninth year as a Primary School teacher - I can’t believe it’s been that long now! I am currently a Middle Leader and have been in charge of Literacy, Mathematics, Humanities and other subjects across Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. I have experience in running whole school projects for Literacy and Humanities, including the successful implementation and launch of a new scheme across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
I have a BA History, PGCE with Mathematics Specialism and an MSc in Education, Power and Social Change.
My experience as a teacher has deepened my passion to see children receive the best possible education. It isn’t just about the subjects we teach them, but it is also about the life skills we give them. How can we, as teachers and leaders who play an instrumental role in their lives, instil confidence in the children we teach? How can we create classrooms where children love to learn? These are some of the questions I answer within my courses and training.
I love creating and designing, which is why I’ve also decided to include digital resources. Stationary, notebooks and planners are a huge part of organising as a teacher so I wanted to create something accessible to everyone!
The Education Bus Stop services are offered to schools both within the UK and internationally.
